Michael and Brandy have a diverse background in orthopedic, neuromuscular, and upper extremity rehabilitation. They have treated a wide variety of work and sport injuries including fractures, strains, sprains, dislocations, cumulative trauma disorders, tendon injuries and repairs, motor vehicle accidents, neck and back injuries, arthroplasties, arthrosis, crush injuries, amputations, and re-plantations.
Services they provide include manual therapy techniques for joint mobilizations and focused area massage, neuromuscular reeducation of movement and coordination, ROM, scar and edema management, specific exercise programs to strengthen and stabilize, customized static and dynamic splinting, wound care, body mechanics training, work rehabilitation and job modification, patient education and development of home exercise programs to return clients to optimal health.
Brandy & Michael have been co-owners of Bonney Lake Physical Therapy & Hand Rehab since 2009.
Brandy completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of Puget Sound in 1994. Early in her career, she had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including hospital acute and sub-acute rehab, skilled nursing facilities, and industrial rehab. She went on to specialize in orthopedic treatment of the upper extremity and earned her credentials as a Certified Hand Therapist in 2005. Brandy’s expertise lies in treating cumulative and traumatic injuries to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand. Her training includes sports rehab of the upper extremity, industrial injury rehabilitation, pre and postoperative rehabilitation, fabricating custom molded splints, and wound care. Brandy is a strong believer in lifelong learning and evidence-based practice and strives to provide the most up to date rehab techniques and services.
Becky graduated from Green River College in 1999 with her Associates in Applied Science as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. She has worked in several different medical settings over the last several years but has been specializing in treatment of the upper extremity since 2012. Becky’s focus on shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand rehabilitation has been a welcomed and exciting challenge for her. Moving forward, she hopes to continue working in this fabulous tight-knit community, all the while bettering her skills to provide the best possible treatment to her clients. Becky has been married to her husband Steve since 1999 and has two busy teenage girls. Outside of work, Becky loves to watch her girls play Fastpitch softball and enjoys spending time with her family camping, swimming, fishing, and hiking.
Michael attended the University of Washington then graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1990. His experience draws from working in a number of treatment settings including his own private practice clinics, other outpatient and sports clinics, hospitals, work hardening clinics, Nursing homes, Rehab Agencies, and Home Health Agencies. With his many years in practice, Michael is experienced in treating a wide spectrum of Orthopedic and Neurological conditions including patients ranging from children to the adult aged population. Michael lives in the area, has two adult children and loves the community environment of Bonney Lake and the surrounding areas. He enjoys snowboarding, boating, outdoor activities, and living in the great northwest. Michael states, “The highlight of my career has been working in my home community and being a part of what makes our area special. Thank you to those who have entrusted their care to me over the years.”
Jen completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Physical Therapy at Concordia University, Nebraska in 1994. She began her career in therapy in 1992 as a Physical Therapy Technician, then earned her credentials as a Physical Therapy Assistant from the PTA program at Green River College in 2000. Jen has since continued practicing physical therapy, specializing in outpatient and manual care. When Jen is not at work, she enjoys wakesurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, snowboarding, and traveling around the world.
Ashley graduated from Western Washington University in 2011 with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then went on to graduate from Green River College with her Associates in Applied Science and received her license as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 2015. Ashley has been involved in the filed for over eight years and has a special interest in Sports Rehabilitation and Pediatrics. Ashley is married and has two wild and energetic boys. She loves spending time outdoors and going on adventures with her family and three dogs.
Stephanie graduated from Green River College in June 2016 with her Associates in Applied Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant. She started her career working in a skilled nursing facility for five months prior to joining the Bonney Lake Therapy team in January of 2017. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys many outdoor activities in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, especially during the summer months. Health and fitness are an important part of her life and she dedicates going to the gym 5-6 days a week to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Amanda graduated from Clover Park Technical College in 2005 with her Associates of Applied Technology degree specializing in Massage Therapy. She began her career with a personal business and part time teaching at Clover Park. Amanda then went on to serve in a chiropractic clinic for 11 years, treating patients with various injuries and physical ailments. She also became certified in pregnancy massage in 2016. Amanda joined Bonney Lake Therapy in January of 2018 to help create a new massage department. Having been a patient in the past, she values the knowledge and treatment other therapists provide at Bonney Lake Therapy. Years of continuing education and experience have given Amanda the expertise to provide exceptional treatment for her patients. Amanda is a Bonney Lake native, enjoys being active with her dog, and is a licensed Real Estate Agent. She loves her community and serving people in both of her specialties.
Megan graduated from massage school in 2006 and has been performing treatment and injury massage for the past twelve years. She has a strong drive and passion for helping people heal and feel their best through massage. Megan moved to Bonney Lake with her husband and daughter in 2012 and has been with Bonney Lake Therapy since April 2018.
